For over 20 years, Paul Cardenas led national recruiting operations for some of the largest broker-dealers and RIAs in the country. He built teams, designed compensation structures, and personally managed relationships with hundreds of top-producing financial advisors.
Throughout that career, one frustration never went away: the recruiting process itself was fundamentally broken. Firms were spending millions on recruiting programs that relied on outdated lists, cold outreach, and subjective assessments of “fit.” The best advisors were being missed. The wrong ones were being hired. And everyone knew it.
I kept asking myself: what if we could see the signals before the advisor even picked up the phone? What if recruiting could be as intelligent as the advisors we were trying to recruit?
That question became HNTR AI. What started as a late-night idea quickly became a full platform concept, then two provisional patents, then a live product roadmap. Built without a dev team, without outside funding, and without permission — using decades of domain expertise and a deep partnership with AI.
